With Microsoft Authenticator app, you can add your phone as an extra layer of security to your Microsoft Account. Microsoft today announced a new feature in Authenticator app that will send you security notifications related to your account. Microsoft will send you alerts when it detects unusual actions on your account, such as changing your password, updating your mobile number, signing in from a new location and more. These alerts will help you understand and control your account.

The goal of these notifications is to increase awareness and help you react quickly if there is unexpected activity.

You can download the updated Microsoft Authenticator app for Android and iOS.
