Microsoft yesterday announced the new Locations feature in Microsoft Search in Bing. Microsoft Search in Bing will now allow enterprises to search relevant buildings and places, pertinent to an individual enterprise, based on simple keywords they choose. For example, Microsoft IT team can implement this feature to help Microsoft employees find locations of various teams in their campus. When someone searches for “Surface team”, Microsoft Search will display the relevant building.

Maps and directions are a common intent for many enterprise searches. Many companies have more than one building and it’s critical for businesses to provide a correct answer when employees search for a building location or directions within their organization.
