Microsoft today announced the new features that will be part of the next version of the OneDrive mobile apps on iOS and Android. The list of new features includes support for new Mobile Capture scenarios, intelligent meeting note sharing and more. Read about them below.

Improved mobile capture scenario: With this update, you can now add custom metadata to anything you scan with the app. After capturing the scan, the metadata fields will appear for you to edit in the app. The image and metadata will both be added to the library you’ve selected.

Meeting Note Sharing: When taking a scan of meeting notes, the updated OneDrive mobile apps will now prompt you to share the scan with the meeting invitees. OneDrive is making use of the Microsoft Graph to deliver this feature.

Common sharing dialog: OneDrive team has now brought the common sharing experience to the Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps.

All the above three features will be available across OneDrive Android and iOS apps in November. OneDrive team also announced that they have started the rollout of the new Manage Access experience which will make it easier for users to see and control access to their files and folders.
