Microsoft announces improved image-search experience powered by Bing for Office apps

In addition to the new “Ask Cortana” feature for images in the Edge browser, Microsoft Bing team also announced couple of new Bing image search related improvements. Microsoft Office team partnered with Bing team to create the new simpler, more powerful image-search experience for Office apps including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, InfoPath, OneNote, Publisher and Visio.
To check out this feature, open any of the above listed Office apps, such as Word, and click the “Insert” tab at the top of the application, then select “Online Pictures.” Select the option to search for an image, and in return you will be displayed with a grid of thumbnail images along with filters to narrow your search. If you want to know the the source and size of the image, just hover over it. You can also view images that have been tagged as subject to certain license restrictions, or view all web images, depending on your needs. Select an image that suits your document and and click the “Insert” button to insert into your document.
