Microsoft announces general availability of Compliance Manager tool for Azure, Dynamics 365, and Office 365

Microsoft today announced the general availability of Compliance Manager tool for Azure, Dynamics 365, and Office 365 Business and Enterprise customers in public clouds. Microsoft also announced the general availability of Azure Information Protection scanner.

Compliance Manager will help organizations assess and manage their compliance risk. It is a cross–Microsoft Cloud services solution that does a real-time risk assessment reflecting compliance nature when using Microsoft Cloud services. In addition, it will also present recommended actions and step-by-step guidance. Learn more about this tool here.

Last year, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was introduced by the European Union which will enable people to better control their personal data. At the same time modernised and unified rules will allow businesses to make the most of the opportunities of the Digital Single Market by cutting red tape and benefiting from reinforced consumer trust. Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that they are committing to be GDPR compliant across their cloud services when enforcement begins on May 25, 2018. Back in July, Microsoft released GDPR benchmark assessment tool that guides organisations through 26 questions and generates a downloadable report showing the readiness to comply with the GDPR’s provisions.
