Microsoft and TAG (Tech Avant-Garde) have partnered with BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) to allow better access to the latest technology for schools in Bangalore. Called “BBMP Roshini”, the project aims to help schools to get their hands on technology, such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

BBMP currently manages and runs 40 different schools in Bangalore. With the help of Microsoft and TAG, they plan to provide world-class infrastructure to over 22,000 students. Not only that, but Microsoft also plans to train the teaching staff so they can use the new technology better and can, in turn, teach the students to use it.

The teachers will also be trained on the 21st Century skills (classroom of the future) and the parents will be involved in activities of the schools. Experts from the local community will be encouraged to get involved in experiential learning.
