There’s a lot of things happening in the run up to E3 and some are apparently more fragrant than others. According to an article from Gamespot, Microsoft has teamed up with Lynx to create a new fragrance collection consisting of body spray, deodorant, and shower gel.

Lynx Xbox or Xbox Lynx, as the lineup is officially known, apparently smells quite nice. Gamespot lists the official description as the following:

Lynx Xbox is a fresh scent of pulsing green citrus, featuring top notes of kaffir lime and winter lemon, aromatic herbal middle notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clearwood.

Containing a range of natural essential oils, the Xbox Lynx range comes with a sleek new look and features a body spray, deodorant, and shower gel.

Did you know? The ‘G’ in ‘green’ stands for ‘gamer’.

The collection is gender neutral, because gendering soap is weird, meaning gamers everywhere can treat themselves to the fresh scent of Xbox in the morning. Well, not quite everywhere – the sad news is that Lynx Xbox (or is it Xbox Lynx?) is only available in Australia and New Zealand.

Xbox ANZ boss, Tania Chee, said in a statement that ‘users can spray or wash themselves with Xbox Lynx to “power up” before heading out the door in the morning’.

Lynx Xbox will be available for purchase from all good grocery stores and pharmacies in Australia and New Zealand from July. It’s currently unknown if it’ll be released in other parts of the world but, if it is, we vow to do an in-depth review of it.

In the meantime, we have our fingers crossed that Microsoft will release a limited edition Xbox console that dispenses soap from the disc drive.
