Microsoft may have introduced the Surface Book with Performance Base along with the Surface Studio last year at its Windows 10 event, but the firm isn’t done with making minor tweaks and updates to the original Surface Book.

Neowin has spotted a new Surface Book configuration aimed at higher end buyers in the Microsoft Store. This configuration is slightly on the expensive side and will set you back $2,999. For that price, it includes an Intel i7 Skylake processor paired with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal Storage. This variant does not include a discrete GPU like the rest of the high end Surface Books.

The New Surface Book isn’t yet available to purchase since Microsoft has it listed as out of stock, but chances are that it’ll be available for potential buyers sooner rather than later.

Microsoft’s Surface Book has been one of the firms most loved devices since its launch. Despite initial setbacks due to power management issues, Microsoft claims the device (along with the pro 4) is  encouraging long-time Mac users to switch to Windows due to its premium build and ambitious nature.

The firm is expected to release another refresh of the Surface Book this Spring along with updated versions of the Surface Pro family of devices.
