Microsoft keeps pushing new features to Microsoft 365 apps, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and more. Apart from these apps, the company also launches new functionality for the Microsoft 365 app, which combines all the important productivity apps and helps you view, edit, and share files without switching between multiple apps. Recently, the Redmond tech giant has added an important new capability to Microsoft 365 app for Android.

Microsoft 365 app on Android can now extract pages from PDFs, helping users pull a key part of a PDF document and use it elsewhere. However, this functionality is available only to Microsoft 365 subscribers, not regular users. You also need to be a Microsoft 365 Insider to use this feature right now. In its official blog post, Microsoft stated that Insiders running Build 16.0.14223.10000 or later are eligible to use the PDF extract feature.

Microsoft has also shared some useful information about the feature. When you extract anything from a PDF using the Microsoft 365 mobile app, those are autosaved and available for later search and retrieval. This way, it becomes easier for you to find them in case you want to use them anywhere else later. If you are a Microsoft 365 subscriber, you can download the Microsoft 365 app from the Google Play Store to use the capability.

As for how to extract PDFs using the app, all you have to do is select the pages you want to extract and tap the Extract button. Congratulations on pulling pages from the PDFs; they are now ready to be used in other documents! Microsoft is also asking for users’ feedback about this functionality. You can tap Settings > Send Feedback to submit what you think about this feature.

If you are a Microsoft 365 subscriber running the required Insider build, have you tried the PDF extract capability? If yes, let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
