When Microsoft announced that they will be giving away Windows OS for free to OEMs developing devices with less than 9-inches, we realized that they are serious about getting tablet market share. Microsoft aimed to decrease the Windows tablet price by removing the Windows licensing for OEMs. At COMPUTEX, a Chinese OEM called Emdoor has announced EM-i8080 Windows tablet. This Emdoor EM-i8080 will cost just $100! Yes, $100 for a full Windows tablet. Here is the spec of the device,
- 8-inch display
- 1280 x 800 IPS technology
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB SSD
