Update (5/17): This update will be rolling out for all Xbox One users today.

Update: Xbox Insiders in the Alpha ring now have the ability to trim clips directly from the Guide. Simply press the Xbox button to open up the Guide, navigate to Broadcast & Capture, select Recent Captures, and choose what you’d like to trim (via Windows Central).

Original: Xbox’s Brad Rossetti, lead of the Insider team, has detailed some new features that Xbox Insiders can look forward to starting next month. As stated in the announcement, some of these build on previously released features while others are totally new ideas. A few of the biggest include  support for higher refresh rates like 120Hz, the ability to pin Groups on your dashboard, and more.

Variable refresh rates were brought to Xbox One last month, but the team will be adding support for 120Hz in May. Players will only be able to utilize these higher refresh rates when using 1080p and 1440p output resolutions.

Starting next month, certain Alpha members will also be able to try out a system called Groups, meant to give them a better way to organize their library of games and apps. You’ll be able to Group together and pin multiple collections of content onto your dashboard. This feature will gradually roll out to Alpha members over time and will not be available for everyone in the Alpha ring initially.

If you’ve been directly sharing your content to Twitter recently, you’ll have a much easier time editing it now. Insiders will be able to trim clips directly in the Guide instead of going through Upload Studio.

Insiders will also see improved family settings, improvements to the Xbox accessories app, and more intuitive button commands next month.
