Joe Belfiore has announced on the Windows Team Blog that Marketplace will be expanding to 23 new countries.
The list includes:
Bahrain, Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, Venezuela and Vietnam.
With the expansion to Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru and the Philippines earlier this year it brings the total number of supported markets to 63 world wide, and expands the addressable market for developers by nearly 60%.
Microsoft notes while App Hub will not support developers in all those markets, their Global Publisher Program should enable local developers to participate in Marketplace by using certified intermediaries.
