ILoveWP has been able to confirm that HTC will be making Windows Phone 7 Mango updates available to users at their stores in Taiwan on the 16th.

The update will be available at 60 stores and include Traditional Chinese support.

It appears that the day will be organized as a very social event, with users encouraged to bring friends along and prizes being given away.

The update is expected to take 20 min per phone, but users are expected to make a NoDo backup at home before coming to the store, and also to back up their photos and videos.

WeLoveWP.hk also reports some users have been successful getting the update even today, after being invited by SMS, so it seems, even if today is not Mango day for everyone, it will be at least for some.
