Maaii is a VOIP app similar to Skype, and like that app it allows users to also make calls for cheap to landlines and mobile phones.

It also features its own social network and has millions of users, being particularly popular in Asia.

Now it appears the app is on the way to USA, with their twitter account claiming:

We are working hard to develop the windows phone version of Maaii. We aim to have it ready in 2014 🙂

The announcement is one more sign of increased momentum around Windows Phone.
