Lumia Sensorcore

SensorCore is an internal low-powered chip that records many of your daily activities, without an inordinate drain on battery. Currently it is available on the Lumia 640XL, Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 right out of the box, and the Lumia 930, Lumia Icon, and the Lumia 1520 after the Lumia Cyan update. So far, there was no out of the box experience to get insights from the data collected from SensorCore.

Today, Microsoft announced that in the coming weeks, customers can track daily steps and calorie burn inside of the Microsoft Health app using the SensorCore enabled Windows Phones devices. Even without a fitness tracking wearable device, customers can just download the Microsoft Health application to their phone and get stepping.
