Microsoft quietly released a new firmware for the Lumia 550 recently. The company released 15503.21007 for the Lumia 550, and the new firmware is only available via the Windows Device Recovery Tool as of writing this article. For those wondering, the Lumia 550 shipped with 15461.48007.
As it seems like, the new update isn’t available through an over-the-air update just yet — but, Microsoft could be delivering it sometime soon. It is worth noting that if you use the Windows Device Recovery Tool to install the latest firmware on your Lumia 550, you will lose all the data on your phone.
