LucidSound’s LS35X headset has been delayed until October from its previous release date in just over a week on September 1.

Regarding the delay, the company said in a statement, “We know you’re anxious to get an update on the LS35X. The product is ready to go into production, we’re just waiting on the last few certifications. To be safe we are pushing our release date back a few weeks. You can expect your brand new LS35X around Mid-October. If you are attending PAX stop by our booth, we will be showing production units of the LS35X next week in Seattle!”

The LS35X is compatible with all Xbox One consoles, including the Xbox One X, without any additional wires. It features 50mm neodymium drivers and state-of-the-art head tracking technology. Though it won’t feature a noise-cancelling microphone at launch, the company is looking at a boom mic option to implement at a later date.

It is currently available to pre-order for $179.99 on Amazon. Its release date is listed as October 31 on the retailer’s website, but that appears to be a placeholder date as LucidSound did not specify exactly when in October it would launch. According to LucidSound, pre-orders on Amazon will include a storage case.
