Are any of our readers Loudtalks users? You know, the VoIP/IM client that allows you to use voice communication or instant messaging without typing. Well now the public version of this program is now available for public download for Windows Mobile devices.
Here is a brief excerpt about Loudtalks from their site:
You have something to say — you push the button and say it. That’s it. No typing, no typos, no calling, no busy signal. Group communication with Loudtalks is just as easy — everybody participates at his own pace and the entire group stays tuned, without interrupting their normal activity. Public safety services use this method for ages and there is a good reason for that. It simply works.
Loudtalks is based on p2p-architecture, which allows scaling easily, and proprietary protocols optimized for real-time communication over low-bandwidth and high-latency connections such as GPRS or EDGE.
I personally have never utilized the service that Loudtalks offers, but I must say that I am definitely intrigued. The thought of sending messages without the hassle of typing could definitely come in handy, and seems as though it would probably be a bit quicker as well.
If you are a Loudtalks user and have been waiting to put this on your WinMo device, now is your chance. We would love to hear your thoughts on this and how well it works for you. Go to the comments and share your experience with us.
