Microsoft’s LinkedIn today announced a new feature for its Premium subscribers. LinkedIn Premium Insights allows companies to see unique and timely data of other companies such as their growth as well as hiring trends by function. Today, LinkedIn is adding a new feature called “peer benchmarking” to LinkedIn Premium Insights. This new feature will allow companies to easily compare their data with other companies to better understand their competitive standing and trends. For example, they can compare companies across insights like total employee count and job openings. Check out the above image to know how it will look like. Following three key insights are available now.

  • Total employee count: Better identify and understand talent trends by comparing a company’s employee growth to that of its peers over a six month, one year or two year period.
  • Employee distribution and headcount growth by function: See which functions are growing the fastest across companies in a similar space to better understand what stage of growth they’re in.
  • Total job openings: Get an inside look at companies’ growth plans by seeing the number of job openings a company has in comparison to its peers across functions.

This new feature will be available to Premium Business, Sales Navigator, and Talent Solutions subscriptions.
