LG is not waiting until CES 2025 to reveal the UltraGear GX9, its latest gaming monitor series. The best part of it? You can bend its OLED display.
The South Korean tech giant announced it just in time for the New Year’s celebration. The GX9 models feature advanced WOLED technology for vivid colors, true blacks, and reduced eye strain, along with customizable Dual-Mode settings for optimal gaming immersion.
The 45GX990A, or in LG’s own words, the “world’s first bendable 5K2K monitor,” leads the series. It features a 900R curvature, ultra-fast response time, and flexible connectivity options.
“Its upgraded Dual-Mode feature allows users to switch effortlessly between resolution and refresh rate presets, and customize the aspect ratio and picture size,” the company announces.
“With an ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response time, the 45GX990A ensures smooth gameplay and heightened immersion,” it describes further.
Besides that, there’s the non-bendable 45GX950A with a fixed 800R curve and the 39-inch 39GX90SA, which offers streaming capabilities via webOS. Both models support high refresh rates, G-Sync, FreeSync, and a range of connectivity options. The bendable 45GX990A and 45GX950A both come in 45-inch sizes, boast a 5K2K resolution of 5120×2160, and have a 21:9 aspect ratio.
CES 2025 is scheduled to take place from January 7 to January 10, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Many companies, including competitors like Samsung, are also set to announce their product lineups, as expected.
LG’s time at CES this year was a blast. The tech giant, which is rumored to make its return to the smartphone business, announced the UltraGear GX7 OLED gaming monitor and multiple MyView 4K smart monitors with IPS 4K displays.
