The first generation of Windows Phones are now nearly 2 years old, and slow-burning production defects are now showing themselves.
One such issue is a motherboard problem with the LG Optimus 7 which sees the handset locking up at the boot-up logo.
LG is doing the right thing and honouring their warranty, but unfortunately are replacing their Windows Phone handset with an Android device, the LG Optimus 3D.
The reason is due to the company having run out completely of Windows Phones, including even the LG Jil Sander.
While we can understand the problem of replacement stock completely expiring, I can not think of anything worse to add insult to injury than having my dead phone replaced with an Android device.
