Lenovo has partnered with Google to bring an Amazon Echo Show competitor powered by Google Assistant to the market and your living room. The Lenovo Smart Display features a similar retro styling as the Echo Show but a larger HD screen (in a choice of 8 or 10-inch size) which can actually display YouTube video, features video calling using Google Duo and of course the prerequisite support for music (with a 10-watt full-range speaker) and home automation from Nest and other OEMs.

If you have a YouTubeTV membership, you can enjoy live or recorded TV in your library, no remote control necessary. And, with every Smart Display, Google is offering three free months of YouTube Premium. You can use this to browse through thousands of recipes, the Assistant can also provide step-by-step hands-free guidance on screen. The Smart Display can be used in both portrait and landscape mode and is available soft Grey or natural Bamboo colour. When not in use it can double as a digital picture frame from your Google Photos or other background picture sources.

The 8-inch Lenovo Smart Display costs $199.99 and the 10-inch model costs $249.99. You can buy it from Walmart, BestBuy.com, Amazon.com, Costco.com, SamsClub.com, Lenovo.com and other stores.
