Lenovo unveils ThinkPad P1 mobile workstation powered by Intel Xeon processors

Lenovo today announced the new ThinkPad P1 workstation, inspired by its Carbon series. The ThinkPad P1 is made of carbon fiber chassis that can withstand cold, heat, humid, dust, fungus, shocks and other harsh environments. It is powered by up to Intel 8th gen Core i5/i7/i9 and Xeon processor, 64 GB of DDR4-2667 RAM, 4TB SSD and NVIDIA Quadro P2000 GPU.

Customers can choose between two different display options: A 15.6-inch 10-bit IPS LCD touch display with a 4K Ultra-HD (3840×2160) resolution, 400 nits brightness, and 100% AdobeRGB color gamut. Or a Full-HD (1920×1080) IPS panel with 300 nits and 100% sRGB color gamut.

There are two Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.0 output, a 4-in-1 card reader, and a TRRS audio port for your connectivity needs.

The ThinkPad P1 will be on sale in late August starting at $1,949.
