At IFA 2016, Lenovo announced Yoga 910, the world’s thinnest Intel Core i convertible laptop. At IFA 2017 next month, Lenovo is planning to announce its successor, the Lenovo Yoga 920. Lenovo Yoga 920 will have the same design as Yoga 910 with a 13.9-inch 4K display (there is also likely a full HD option), a fingerprint scanner with support for Windows Hello enclosed in an aluminium magnesium alloy case with a rubberized inlay. And it maintains the Yoga convertible series’ signature watchband hinge and flexible usage modes – enabling users to type in laptop mode, present in stand mode, watch videos in tent mode or browse in tablet mode.

Coming to the differences, the Yoga 920 will be powered by upcoming Intel 8th gen processors. The so-called Coffee Lake processors are manufactured on Intel’s 3rd generation enhanced 14nm++ process and it will be more power efficient. Intel claims that these processors will offer up to 30% more performance when compared to 7th gen processors. Just like the Yoga 910, you can configure Yoga 920 to have either Intel Core i5 or i7 processor.

Lenovo Yoga 920 will also come with active pen support. Lenovo Active Pen 2 is can support 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity to provide a natural pen and paper experience when you sketch and jot down notes. The Active Pen 2 also features one top button and two built-in side buttons for self-configuration.

As can be seen in the schematics above, the new keyboard layout addresses the major concerns with the 910 generation – the small right shift key and the split enter key, and retains the comfortable scalloped design of the current generation.

The screen also remains near bezel-less, but it seems Lenovo still managed to place the web cam at the top rather than the bottom of the screen, addressing another gripe of the 910. It is possible the camera is Windows Hello ready, as Chicony, one of the camera suppliers, does offer the IR camera in its line-up.

The current generation Lenovo Yoga 910 is arguably the most stylish laptop currently in the market, as amply demonstrated in the images below, and with its upgraded specs, which finally includes an active pen, its successor should receive a very warm reception.

Via the FCC, the detailed specs are:
