Yesterday, Lenovo announced their partnership with AMD for the launch of 1st AMD-based Enterprise ThinkPad Notebook series. Lenovo is calling it ThinkPad A-series. The ThinkPad A-series laptops will have option for superior Radeon graphics and will support future Ryzen based processors from AMD. Lenovo is mainly targeting large enterprise, government, education and SMB customers for this series. The first set of laptops in this series will be ThinkPad A475 and ThinkPad A275.
The ThinkPad A475 is based on ThinkPad T series laptops and comes with a 14-inch display, AMD Bristol Ridge Pro or Carrizo Pro APUs and up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM. The ThinkPad A275 is based on ThinkPad X series laptops and comes with a 12.5-inch display and with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Both the laptops includes a USB-C port and several USB-A ports.
The ThinkPad A475 will be available from Sep-15th while A275 will be available from October.
