Kingdom Hearts 3 may be a fitting entry in the long-running series, but fans have been unhappy at the absence of the franchise’s traditional Critical Mode.
Twitter user Keytotruth discovered that Kingdom Hearts 3 does, in fact, hide a Critical Mode within its files.
Critical Mode is only accessible on PS4 systems, and they have to be running homebrew software by the name of PS4 Save Wizard. While not available yet the cheat will become available to use sometime soon.
According to Keytotruth. Kingdom Hearts 3’s Critical Mode isn’t a perfect interpretation of the mode. In fact, it isn’t even properly implemented. The cheat instead forces the game to use the rules established in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage.
It is leftover from 0.2. This difficulty isn’t implemented properly. It doesn’t even have a name inside the game. It just shows a blank space. I basically just forced the game to use Critical rules already pre-established.
