Kantar World Panel today released their latest report on smartphone market. Overall in the Europe, Windows Phone saw a 0.2% increase in market share. Both iOS and Windows saw growth as Android declined by 2.3%. Windows Phone’s market share declined in key European markets like Spain, Italy, and the UK. In France Germany and Australia, Windows Phone saw a significant growth. In the US, Windows Phone’s share saw a slight decline of 0.2% and in China and Japan, Windows Phone’s share remains negligible.

With the recent launch of Lumia 535 and upcoming Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL, Microsoft should see increase in shipment numbers in the upcoming months. As flagship device launch is delayed to Q3 of this year, Microsoft should rely on all these low-end and mid-range Lumia devices for driving sales volumes.
