Update:

It’s official, Island Living is indeed the next expansion for The Sims 4! We’ve placed the expansion’s gorgeously chill trailer below for you. Expect mermaids, partying and picking up beach waste. Don’t litter, guys!

Sims will now be able to walk straight into the open water. Once you’re all wet, you’ll be able to swim, snorkel and more. Don’t forget to equip the myriad beachwear that’s included in the new expansion. Oh, and there’s a great big ruddy volcano!

In Island Living, you’ll be able to get sunburnt, go out to the beach with your family and even care for the entire island. Your actions will have an effect on the island itself; looking after the environment will add more flora and fauna to the land.

Island Living will release on June 21st for PC and console.

Alongside the new expansion, The Sims 4 will be introducing Pride items for every  The Sims project and a new job: freelance fashion photographer.

Later this year, The Sims 4 will also get a new expansion: The Realm of Magic! It’ll release this Fall and we’ll learn more in the coming months.

Original Story:

The Sims 4 has already seen a bevy of post-launch support from publisher EA, but the next expansion has seemingly been leaked.

Titled Island Living, the upcoming content was discovered by Sims Community writer Jovan Jovic. Keeping a keen eye on EA’s Origin storefront, and looking through the website’s sources, he found references to the upcoming expansion.

Below are some images of the upcoming expansion:

Afterwards, Jovic discovered the expansion’s entire store page description which gives us a pretty big indicator of what we can expect.

  • Sit Back and Relax

Welcome to Sulani, where the sun shines bright and the nights are totally chill. Set sail on the glistening water in your island canoe, swim to your heart’s content, and explore the scenery on a watercraft. Build a spectacular sand castle, catch some rays, and even meet a mermaid!

? Pitch In or Help Out

Become a conservationist, clean up the beaches, and watch your Sims’ impact bloom all over the island. Take to the waves in a fishing or diving career or become a lifeguard to keep the locals safe under the sun. No career? No problem! Sims can do a few odd jobs or fish for their next meal.

? Engage in Local Culture

Tradition runs deep on Sulani, and your Sims get to experience everything it has to offer. Immerse Sims in their newfound lifestyle by attending a pit barbecue event, learning about local folklore, tasting tropical delicacies, and chatting with ancestors from the island.

? Rock the Island Vibes

Dress Sims in tropical garb inspired by sun, sand, and waves. Or, gear up for water activities like snorkeling and swimming. Decorate a rustic oasis with home objects and unwind at the tiki bar. Everything is chill (except for the occasional sunburn) when it’s Island Living.

The Sims 4 was recently made free for everyone on Origin, for those who managed to pick it up in time. We’ll make sure to keep you updated with any new information, and trailers, as soon as they release during tonight’s EA Play conference.
