A mobile version of Microsoft Copilot, an AI-powered productivity tool, is expected to be released soon. The company’s spokesperson apparently confirmed today that the mobile app will be available as a standalone product.

In a recent X interaction (fka Twitter), Mikhail Parakhin (@MParakhin), a representative from Microsoft, hinted at the upcoming release of a standalone Copilot mobile app.ย

This news comes in response to a query fromย @D_Twitt3r, who inquired about the availability of the mobile app among other things. Parakhin then suggests using the now-AI-powered Bing mobile app in the meantime.ย

The Redmond-based tech giantย said back in Septemberย that Copilot will soon be able to connect to your phone. The AI-powered assistance tool is now rolling out to limited users on Windows 11 and Windows 10 desktops before general availability.ย

To be fair, for some users, the namings here can be confusing, and rightfully so. Not too long ago,ย Microsoft “rebranded”ย Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise as Copilot, and there’s also another tool calledย Copilot Studioย where you can build, customize, and manage Copilot.ย

The latter is a low-code solution designed for enterprises so that they can connect theirย Microsoft 365 Copilotย to data available outside of Microsoft 365 services using pre-built or custom plugins and GPTs.ย
