The free games on offer this week from Epic are INSIDE and Celeste, both of which can be picked up for the low price of nothing until September 5th, 2019.
INSIDE and Celeste are essentially opposites of each other – INSIDE’s story is dark and hauntingly ominous, while Celeste is all about heartwarming determination. They’re both incredibly fun to play and both worth picking up.
All you need to pick up both games is an Epic Games account and the Epic Games Store launcher, both of which are also free.
INSIDE is a 2.5D puzzle-platformer adventure game where you play as a boy in a dystopian and mostly monochromatic world. You have to solve environmental puzzles, work your way through terrifying levels, and just try your hardest not to die.

Celeste is a platformer which follows the protagonist, Madeline, as she makes her way up a mountain. Not only is the mountain covered in deadly obstacles such as spikes, but Madeline must also battle her inner demons along the way.

Both INSIDE and Celeste will be free until September 5th, whereupon Epic’s free offerings will change to The End Is Nigh, a sprawling adventure platformer where you flop through a world of pain and suffering, and ABZÛ, a beautiful and moving underwater adventure that tells an emotional story.
