Horror game enthusiasts, rejoice! The ID@Xbox showcase event is bringing out a hotly anticipated title: Stray Souls.

Stray Souls is a 2D horror game inspired by the Silent Hill series. It’s being developed by Jukai Studio, a team of indie developers who are passionate about creating truly terrifying experiences.

Inspired by the Silent Hill aesthetic with an original score, this 2D horror game is set in a dark and twisted world where the dead walk the streets and monsters lurk in the shadows. Players will take on the role of a nameless protagonist who must explore this nightmarish world to uncover the truth about their past.

One of the most exciting things about Stray Souls is that it features the music of Akira Yamaoka, the legendary composer who created the soundtracks for the Silent Hill games. Yamaoka’s music is known for its dark and atmospheric soundscapes, and it will undoubtedly add to the overall terror of Stray Souls.

Stray Souls is currently in development for PC and consoles, including the next gen Xbox Series X. There’s no release date yet, but it’s definitely one to keep an eye on for horror fans.

Another exciting horror title in the pipeline is The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a third-person asymmetrical horror game based on the 1974 film of the same name. Players can take on the role of one of the notorious Slaughter family or their victims with strategic 3v4 team-based multiplayer game mode.

The game is set in early 1973 and follows Ana and her friends as they search for Ana’s missing sister, Maria, in the small town of Newt, TX. The group’s search quickly turns into a nightmare as they come face-to-face with the Slaughter family.

Partnering up with IGN, other indie titles being showcased in this event include: Axiom Verge 2, Birth, Dreamers, Everspace 2, Hellboy Web of Wyrd, Jackbox Party Rack 10, Karateka, Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients, MythForce, Rain World: Downpour, Roman Sands, Scarlet Deer Inn, Sea of Stars, Second Wave, Solace State, Stumble Guys, Vampire Survivors, and Worldless.
