If you are a regular visitor to mspoweruser.com, you will remember when we made this post about the HTC Iolite a few days ago. It appears now that we have what looks to be a shot of the actual device.

From what jouwmobiel.nl has posted, Iolite will not be the official name of this little gem, and it will find it’s place somewhere between the Touch 3G and the Touch Diamond as far as pricing and specifications are concerned. When the official name of this new HTC offering is revealed, we will be sure to keep our readers in the loop.

As a side note, it looks as though the screen will be QVGA as opposed to the WQVGA screen we posted about before. This device is also running TouchFlo3D. Hmmmm…… TF3D on a device with a QVGA screen? You can already see the folks at XDA salivating to get their hands on this device to begin porting TF3D to other QVGA devices like the Kaiser. The plot thickens.

Is it possible that this device is pioneering a new group of devices to replace the HTC Diamond series? It sure looks as though that may be the case, but only time will tell.

Let us know what you think in the comments.
