Last month, we reported that the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update will be available for HP’s Elite x3 device sometime around September 13th. Unfortunately though, HP wasn’t able to deliver the update by September 13, which is a bit disappointing to see. The company has quietly updated the FAQ page for the device, now stating that the Anniversary Update will be available for the Elite x3 “in the coming weeks”. The company is currently testing the Anniversary Update so that it provides the “highest quality of performance and stability”.

When will Anniversary Update (Redstone 1) for the Elite X3 be available?

HP is working with Microsoft to release Windows 10 Mobile OS Anniversary Update (Redstone 1) for the Elite X3 in the coming weeks. We are currently testing the update to ensure the highest quality of performance and stability.

Windows 10’s Anniversary Update will bring a couple of new features to the Elite x3, including support for the fingerprint reader and Windows Information Protection. Additionally, you’ll get features like a new Skype experience, improved features for Microsoft Edge, Notification Syncing, a new Windows Store, and a lot more. HP isn’t offering an exact date on when the Anniversary Update will be available for the Elite x3, but we’ll make sure to let you know when the update is available — so keep an eye on our website in the coming weeks.

If you want to get an Elite x3, you can get it from the Microsoft Store (US) here, and Microsoft Store (UK) here.
