It seems it was just yesterday when HP was “working even closer with Microsoft to develop signature phones”, now it seems they are just not interested anymore. Earlier in the year when Mobile World Conference was in full swing, HP took stage with Microsoft to announce their involvement with their latest Windows Phone 7 product. Now after a few months, and a few purchases, it seems they want nothing to do with Microsoft.

In an interview with CNBC, Todd seems to be very clear with their following quote:

"I think it’s clear to say, that we’re very focused on the customer, and giving the customer the experience that’s important to them. We won’t do — will not do a Linux / Android phone. We won’t do a Microsoft phone.".

This seems very sad because I was looking forward to see what HP would bring to counter their #1 competitor Dell. Now we know the list of manufactures is quickly becoming short, but thankfully the good guys are still in.
