WinSource has a less drastic solution than hard resetting your new Nokia Lumia 900 to restore data functionality.

It appears AT&T’s APN values disappears for some reason after reboot, leaving a user without being able to connect to AT&T’s data network.  Replacing the APN data is a bit simpler than hard resetting your phone, but of course does not prevent it from disappearing again.

The needed values are:

APN: wap.cingular

USER: wap@cingulargprs.com

pWORD: cingular1

Ultimately at this early stage it is probably better to simply swap your phone for one without the issue, rather than ending up memorising these values.
