Supernatural thriller The Conjuring 2 brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
There, they meet Peggy Hodgson, an overwhelmed single mother who tells the couple that something evil is in her home. Ed and Lorraine believe her story when the youngest daughter starts to show signs of demonic possession. As the Warrens try to help the besieged girl, they become the next targets of the malicious spirit.
The movie, released in the cinema in June this year, scored 7.7/10 on IMDB and 80% on Rotten Tomato and 84% audience score, with Rotten Tomato noting it is “a superior ghost story told with spine-tingling skill.”
