The NPD Group tracks game sales in the United States every month and shares its findings with companies and the general public. Today they announced the top 10 best-selling games in the United States for the month of February. Surprisingly, For Honor beat its competition to claim the top spot. The competition wasn’t as fierce this month but it still proves that gamers crave new experiences. The top 10 games are as follows:

  1. For Honor
  2. Resident Evil 7
  3. Grand Theft Auto V
  4. NBA 2K17
  5. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  6. Rainbow Six: Siege
  7. Madden NFL 17
  8. Battlefield 1
  9. Nioh
  10. Overwatch

Nioh and Overwatch don’t include digital sales because they weren’t provided by the publishers. Additionally, the list doesn’t include microtransactions or add-ons so it adequately tracks game sales. If you just analyze Xbox One releases, games like Halo Wars 2 also make the list but For Honor still remains at the top.

For those who haven’t played For Honor, it’s a multiplayer-focused game revolving around Vikings, Knights as Samurai. The title challenges players to block and attack in particular directions in order to vanquish their opponents. For Honor also includes a good single-player campaign which familiarizes players with the melee combat mechanics. Overall it’s definitely a unique experience which fans of games like Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and Mount & Blade: Warband will love.
