While the Hololens is a full stand-alone PC it is still somewhat awkward to perform some functions on it.

That’s where Microsoft’s new Hololens Companion App for your phone or PC comes in.

The official Hololens Companion app lets you connect to your HoloLens over WiFi to perform common functions like downloading media, viewing a live stream from your device or even remotely launching apps and controlling your HoloLens.
