Hewlett-Packard announces its premium 17.3 inch HP ENVY notebook

Alongside the new Pavilion x2, Hewlett-Packard today revealed the new Envy series. The newest addition to the Envy series is the new 17.3-inch Envy notebook which comes with a premium design. The device has a 17.3-inch display and weights at only 6.22 pounds – that’s somewhere around 2.8kg. The 17.3 inch Envy notebook supports 5th generation Intel Core i7 processors, NVidia GeForce 940M or GTX 950M GPU. For storage, the company is offering the option of dual hard drives (up to 4TB), standard hard drives, hybrid hard drives and SSDs. The device also comes with USB 3.0 ports and a DVD or Blu-ray optical disk drive.
The 17.3-inch Envy has up to 10 hours of battery with a 62 watt-hour battery and it also features a backlit keyboard. The device is expected to be available in the United States at HP’s official website, starting at $999.99. However, it’s worth noting that some variants of the 17.3-inch Envy will be available on in Best Buy on July 5.
