In April 2025, Microsoft-published games dominated the PlayStation Store’s download charts. Forza Horizon 5 secured the top spot on the PS5 charts in Europe, while The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered led in the U.S. Minecraft maintained strong positions in both regions, likely influenced by the release of its film adaptation.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a French-developed RPG, entered the top ten in both markets, reflecting its growing popularity. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition also saw increased downloads, possibly boosted by the debut of its Netflix animated series.

On PS4, Red Dead Redemption 2 continued its reign as the most downloaded title across both regions. The Devil May Cry HD Collection also performed well, potentially benefiting from renewed interest in the franchise.

In the PS VR2 category, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate led downloads in both the U.S. and Europe. Other notable titles included Beat Saber and Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition.

Free-to-play games remained consistent, with Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Roblox occupying the top three spots across both platforms and regions.These trends highlight the enduring appeal of established franchises and the impact of cross-media releases on game popularity.
