Update: According to Xbox’s Mike Ybarra, the Xbox One X development tools are still incomplete. They’ll get better as they approach launch. The current builds of games may be indicative of overall visuals, but they aren’t indicative of the final resolution. While many of the games are already running at 4K, some titles like Anthem and Assassin’s Creed Origins may currently be using other techniques such as checkerboarding or simple upscaling. That’s expected to change as we approach November 7.

Yesterday, Microsoft revealed the Xbox One X, the most powerful console ever created. Since its launch, the PlayStation 4 Pro has struggled to reach the 4K resolution with only a handful of titles supporting it on Sony’s console. However, Microsoft blew expectations out of the water when they announced dozens of 4K games for Project Scorpio…we mean Xbox One X. Here’s a list of all games that we know are going to be 4K.

  1. Anthem

  80. We Happy Few
  81. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  82. World of Tanks

We would include games like Call of Duty: WWII, Code Vein, Destiny 2, Far Cry 5 and Star Wars: Battlefront II but the developers haven’t revealed details about the resolution. Given the fact that even a game like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can run at 4K on Xbox One X, Call of Duty: WWII, Destiny 2 and others should also run at 4K on the console. It’s surprising how in a day Microsoft has over 60 confirmed 4K games for Xbox One X. If we go with some of the rumored titles, then that number approaches 100. The Xbox One X is definitely the ultimate console and absolutely blows Sony’s attempt away!
