Apparently one of the major apps Windows Phone needs to succeed as an HBO Go App. Now it appears that HBO Holdings have finally responded, and released a Windows Phone app into marketplace on the 14th July.
Unfortunately that would be HBO Holdings Zrt, and the app appears to be only available in Romania.
The HBO Go app still provides access to new classics like Newsroom, Borgias, Game of Thrones. The description reads as follows:
HBO GO ® are showing the new streaming service from HBO. HBO GO is now available from Romtelecom, iNES and NextGen Communications. To view the complete program required a subscription and service activation of MaxPak HBO GO. Please contact your operator for further details.
Hopefully its arrival in Romania presages a wider availability in the rest of the world. HBO Go Romania can be downloaded from the Windows Phone Marketplace for free.
