The Asus NovaGo will be the first Windows 10 on ARM laptop to hit the market, with the HP Envy X2 only coming sometime in Spring 2018 and the Lenovo device still to be unveiled at CES 2018.

Unlike the HP Envy X2 the Asus device does not exactly move me, but it certainly has a major bent towards functionality and practicality, featuring 2 full-sized USB ports, an HDMI port and a full-sized SD card slot. This compares to the lone USB-C port on the HP Envy X2.

It is however twice as thick as the HP Envy X2 at 14.5 mm, and clocks in at 1.3 kg. While also dressed in metal it has a much less premium look, and despite being much thicker only offers 2 hours more battery life at 22 hours.

See PCWorld and Anshel Sag’s hands-on below.

The 4GB RAM/64GB storage model will cost $599 and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model will cost $799. It will be available in US, CN, IT, UK, FR, DE and TW.
