Today at Nokia World Nokia showed off a new application for their Windows RT tablet, Nokia Video Director.

The app is a surprisingly powerful video editor about on par with Windows Movie Maker (and which makes us wonder why it is Nokia and not Microsoft who is coding it).

The app can handle video all the way up to 1080P, and supports video filters and a variety of edits, including sound tracks.

The app also has a companion app on Windows Phone.  This app however merely allows users to upload video from their phone to the tablet, as Nokia does not think a phone has enough screen real estate to make video editing worthwhile.

Given the powerful Snapdragon 800 processor, 1080P screens and large screen size of the Nokia Lumia 1520, do our readers think Nokia is wrong? Let us know below.
