E3 is approaching and Xbox is taking about TV again! This time, however, it’s not sports, it’s TV we care about: the Halo TV show!
Speaking to the AIAS Game Maker’s Notebook podcast, head of transmedia and entertainment at 343 Industries Kiki Wolfkill said that the upcoming show will be like “Game of Thrones”.
Of course, Wolfkill is talking about the shows in comparison of “scope, scale and complexity of relationships”, not the naughty dirty dances certain family members do in HBO’s iconic franchise.
“No inc**t (thanks, Google Adsense) is planned at all for the show,” Wolfkill says. “If you’re looking for that, you won’t find it here.” I guess Chief won’t get it on with a long lost brother – a shame.
Thankfully, the Halo TV show will be full of “political drama”, an important aspect of the Halo franchise in any medium.
With ten episodes planned for the upcoming Showtime series, the upcoming show sounds like an exciting time. With Twin Peaks: The Return under its belt, Showtime certainly knows how to take a risk. Hopefully, this Halo adaptation will be pay off fantastically.
