Halo: The Master Chief Collection will feature cross-progression between PC and Xbox players.
Announced through a tweet by 343 community director Brian Jarrard, The Master Chief Collection will keep progression between platforms. Progression, unlocks and stats will all be accessible on PC and Xbox using Microsoft’s cross-save service.
Jarrard also announced that cross-play isn’t planned at this moment in time.
“In terms of playing together cross-platform,” Jarrard said. “currently [that’s] not planned for launch, but it’s something the team is accounting for and will evaluate over time.”
Progression, unlocks, stats, etc.. will carry over between PC/console. In terms of playing together crossplatform, currently not planned for launch but it's something the team is accounting for and will evaluate over time.

The Master Chief Collection will be launching piecemeal on PC with Halo: Reach as its first release. While the game will be launching a bit later than planned, Halo on PC will be a fantastic experience.
