GroupMe app for iOS was updated in App Store yesterday with enhanced group controls. This Version 5.13 update comes with new Closed group type that helps users keep control over the groups they own. Group owners can now view and manage former members of the group. This update also allows users to share their groups with others easily using QR codes.

Another important feature added in this update is the ability to add new contacts on GroupMe easily. Users can now share a link or QR code to share their contact information.
