The race to the top of the AI deep researcher food chain is heating up as Elon Musk and its xAI company launch DeepSearch. It’s a next-gen search engine that’s built on the new Grok 3 model, which excels in reasoning.

Just like ChatGPT’s “deep research” or Copilot’s “think deeper” AI agents, the DeepSearch feature on Grok 3 lets you perform complex, contextually relevant searches and reasoning tasks, and access real-time information to provide more accurate and insightful responses.

The AI agent scans the internet and social media platform X to gather and analyze information. Then, it abstracts the data into concise summaries, so you can quickly access relevant insights for your queries.

Grok 3 comes in several variants: Grok 3 Reasoning, Grok 3 mini, and Grok 3 mini Reasoning. Now, you can also unlock more of those reasoning capabilities with the “Big Brain” button on the AI chatbot, especially in areas like math, science, and programming.

Elon Musk, xAI’s boss, promises that future updates will include voice mode (similar to ChatGPT or Copilot’s humanoid advanced voice mode) and even enterprise API access. The Tesla billionaire has previously hyped Grok 3 as a “scary smart” model, and now claiming that it’s the best AI model in the world.

You can access Grok 3 through the Grok app, with premium features like DeepSearch and reasoning models available through subscription tiers like X’s Premium+ or the new SuperGrok plan, which reportedly costs $30/month or $300/year.
