This is likely very old news that I have missed, but having ranted before about Microsoft losing your Notepad scribbles when they force a restart, I simply had to acknowledge that the Microsoft Paint team is doing it right and automatically recovering your lost images after a forced restart.

Unfortunately, I do not know when this feature was added, but it is somewhat ironic given that Microsoft Paint is being deprecated and eventually turning into a Store app in favour of Paint 3D.

Either way, it is a welcome feature which I hope other built-in Microsoft apps (looking at you, NotePad) adopt.
