ezmode on Reddit reports that the Waze crowd-sources GPS navigation app is close to hitting the Windows Phone Store for all.

The app is already in closed beta, and he is part of the testing team.

He reports in receiving the above email, which, after sending out an app invite, claims “this is the last time this will occur and we are making all efforts to publicize the final app in the near term.”

Waze was recently purchased by Google, and the Windows Phone app was already in development at the time. It seemed unlikely that the app would eventually reach the Windows Phone Store, given Google’s clear hostility to our platform, but it seems the Waze team kept enough independence to keep the effort going.
